Biography

Humayun Farid is a Bangladeshi filmmaker, media professional, researcher, and academic with over 15 years of experience in film, television, media production, and strategic communication. He earned an M.A. in Moving Image from the University of Glamorgan, Wales, UK, and both an M.A. and a B.A. (Honours) in Drama and Dramatics from Jahangirnagar University. An award-winning director, Farid received the Charunirom Best Director Award in 2013 for his acclaimed television drama Dhoaghor. He is also a published researcher and a full member of the Bangladesh Film Producers and Distributors Association and the Directors' Guild of Bangladesh. Through his creative, academic, and professional contributions, he continues to play a significant role in advancing Bangladesh's film, television, and media industries.
